The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 1, 1992, p. 2 “Vi” Violet N. Pruitt of Omak, Washington, a former 15-year resident of Wickenburg, died June 17 at the Valley Care Center on Okanogan, Washington. She was 77. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Galliton, Missouri June 18, 1914 to Harry Lee and Fanny (Reno) Waters. She was raised in Colorado and attended school in Kim, Colorado. She married E. Y. Pruitt on April 19, 1939 at Eurika Springs, Arkansas. She lived in Wickenburg for 15 years before moving to Omak for the last few years. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge. Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her husband E. Y. of Omak; sons Cary of Omak and Norman of Jordan Valley, Oregon; daughters Peggy Simpson of Peoria, Arizona and Darlene Moore of Norfolk, Nebraska; brother Lyman Waters of Delores, Colorado; sisters Ellen Britton of Cortez, Colorado, and Emma Myrtle Kincade of Delores, Colorado; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter and one brother. Services will be held in Cascade, Idaho at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5 at the Masonic Lodge.
