HARPER, Herbert Arthur


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 22, 1992, p. 2 Herbert Arthur Harper of Congress died at his home on July 16. He was 60. A native of Bangor, Maine, Mr. Harper was born June 16, 1932. He had worked for Southwest Boat Co. as a welder for many years and then for J.B.F. Scientific Corp. as a plant manager and welder for four years before his retirement in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He and his wife Margaret moved to Congress four years ago from South West Harbor, Maine. He is survived by his wife; sons Clarence and Guy of York, Pennsylvania and Daniel of Texas; daughters Tammy, Angela, Lisa and Sarah of Congress, Lynn of Nevada and Ashley of Maine; sister, Helen Murphy of Maine; and 15 grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday, July 21 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, with Rev. Gilbert Moser officiating. Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley assisted the family with the arrangements.
