Memorial services for former Yarnell Postmaster William “Bill” Rowley, who died July 14 in Yarnell, will be held Saturday, July 25, at Frank Lampe’s home, 102 Sunrise Road, Yarnell.
A native of Middleton, New York, Mr. Rowley, 53, was born February 6, 1939.
Besides serving as Yarnell postmaster for 13 years, Mr. Rowley also was an artist, making clocks, doing stained glass windows, sculptures and machinist drawings. He also was a miner and had been a resident of Arizona for 37 years.
He is survived by sons Guy Rowley of Yarnell, Mark Rowley of Congress and Jason Rowley of Phoenix; daughter Lisa Zabala of Williams; sister, Mary Sparling of Flagstaff; brother, Leroy Rowley of Minden, Nevada; and five grandchildren.
A private burial is planned.
