The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 12, 1992, p. 15 Edna Love Lewis, who had lived in Wickenburg from 1972 to 1974, died July 31 at Idlywood Convalescent Home in Sunnyvale in California. She was 85. Mrs. Lewis was born in Mill Creek, Oklahoma and had lived in Merced, California for 12 years. She was a teacher for 30 years in Oklahoma, Colorado and Arizona. She had been active in the First Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg when she lived here. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Merced, a member of NRTA and a member of the AARP. She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd I. Lewis in September of 1985. She is survived by her daughter Bernice Metz of Saratoga, California; sister Ethel Gist of Sulphur, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held at the Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home in California and interment is at the Merced District Cemetery.
