The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 12, 1992, p. 15 William H. White of Huachuca City, Arizona who attended Wickenburg schools in the 1930s died August 4 at the Raymond W. Bliss Army Community Hospital in Ft. Huachuca. He was 70. Mr. White, a native of Pane, Kansas, was born February 3, 1922. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Vietnam Service Medal for his service in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. He retired in 1971 after 27 years in the service, with the rank of SPC. Mr. White also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his wife Rosezella I. White of Huachuca City; sons William White, Jr. of Phoenix, and Wilbur H. White of Huachuca City; daughters Linda White and Wilma Garren of Huachuca City and Elizabeth Smith and Roberta Cooper of Sierra Vista; brother Berul White of Clinton, Missouri; sisters Faye McElwain of Parker and Mary Johnson of Clinton, Missouri; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, August 7 at the Main Post Chapel, and interment with military honors were held at the Post Cemetery in Ft. Huachuca. Arrangements were provided by the Hatfield Funeral Home in Sierra Vista.
