WOELFFER, Arthur


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AA August 26, 1992, p. 2 Arthur Woelffer, past vice mayor and clerk for the Town of Wickenburg, died August 23 at Wickenburg Community Hospital. He was 84. A native of Chicago, Mr. Woelffer was born December 12, 1907. Besides his service for the Town of Wickenburg, he also had been a deacon and elder for the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg; owned and operated his own accounting business in the community for many years; was a member of the Wickenburg Masonic Lodge and the Wickenburg Rotary Club. He attended North Western College in Chicago and had served as editor on the college newspaper. He and his wife were married for 42 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 27 at the First Presbyterian Church and visitation will be conducted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday August 26 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Longstreet will officiate in the services. Interment will be at the Wickenburg Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Gladys of Wickenburg; son Arthur W. Woelffer of Cedar Crest, Illinois; daughters Gertrude Aikins of Memphis, Tennessee, Virginia Green and Leone Kelly of Grand Junction, Colorado; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by a daughter Louise Woelffer in 1962. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, PO Box III, Wickenburg, AZ 85358 and the Masonic Lodge 37, PO Box 985, Wickenburg, AZ 85358. All arrangements were made by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
