CONRY, Dennis "Bird"

Dennis "Bird" Conry, 55, of Scottsdale, passed away October 28, 2003. Dennis was a Phoenix native and attended Camelback H.S. and ASU. His 30 year career in the restaurant business included management at the Cork 'n Cleaver and Garcia's, and owner of Lonnegan's and the Stockyards restaurants. His passions were golf, handball, hunting, sports, and he was a long time member of the Sun Angel Foundation. Dennis was the recipient of the 2003 Frank Kush Award for Outstanding ASU Football Supporter. He was preceded in death by his brothers Tim & Jim and father Loren B. for whom the Conry Memorial Golf Tournament has been held every May since 1972. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis; sister, Kathy; brothers, Paul & Kevin; and life partner, Susan Bush. Visitation and Rosary Sunday, November 2, 2003, at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Chapel, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Funeral Mass was Monday, November 3, 2003, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E.
