CREED,
Wilbert Harland (Hank)
Wilbert Harland (Hank) Creed passed away on October 28th, 2003.
He was born on December 15, 1923.
He had a short illness that had complicated the long decline in his health. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW2, and as he would say, fought the "war of Mississippi." His working career was as a glazier, most of which was with Pittsburgh Plate Glass. In retirement his passion was golf and cards, but the last several years saw much of that joy decline with his health.
He was married to Marian Butler for 41 years until her passing in 1988. From that union he is survived by his son Luther and daughter Judy Skaggs. His other son Doug died in 1972. There are in addition 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Since 1990, Harland was married to Leah Williamson. That family includes daughter Sylvia Mitchell, and sons Kenny, Dana and Wayne Williamson as well as 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
We will miss the warm smile, the kindness and his loving presence, but we all longed for him to be at peace. God rest his soul. Services were held. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Veterans Home in Harland's name. The address is 4141 N. 3rd Street, Phoenix 85012. Arrangements by Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave.
