The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 16, 1992, p. 2 Patricia M. Jahn of Morristown died September 7 at her residence. She was 93. Mrs. Jahn was born September 7, 1899 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. She had lived in Arizona for 66 years. Her family are direct descendents of Chief Black Hawk who is best remembered for the War of 1812 between Abraham Lincoln and Chief Black Hawk. Her family traveled from Eau Claire, Wisconsin by wagon train to Oklahoma and then on to Western Slope, Colorado where her father homesteaded to raise his nine children. He later sold their ranch and took the family by wagon train to Porterville, California where they established the first orchards in the area. The family traveled one more time by wagon train back to Oklahoma where they bought the trees they planted in their orchards. Patricia and her husband moved from Oklahoma to the Litchfield, Arizona area in 1926 and finally settled in Morristown, Arizona in the early 1950s. Mrs. Jahn was preceded by her husband Raymond in 1990. Mrs. Jahn is survived by two nephews, Charles L. Wilson of Morristown and Orville Wilson of Seattle, Washington. Services were held September 10 at the Morristown Cemetery, Pastor Delbert Henderson officiated. Wickenburg Funeral Home of Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
