Gay A. Brockmeier of Yarnell died October 7, in Yarnell. She was 82.
Mrs. Brockmeier was born October 10, 1909 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Franceway and Mary Elsie Pigg. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by son Ronald L. Chody, brothers Raymond, Evan, Ervin and her twin brother Guy.
Mrs. Brockmeier, a graduate of Putnan, Oklahoma was a past president of The Wranglerettes, a member of The Beta Omega Sorority, The California Federated Business Club and the Blyth Art Association.
She moved to California from Oklahoma in 1945 and became a summer resident of Yarnell in 1967, where she was a hobbyist at Gabys Crafts and became a permanent resident of Yarnell in 1990. She was a member of the Wickenburg Church of Christ.
Mrs. Brockmeier is survived by her husband Robert, sons Bryon L. Chody of California and James D. Brockmeier of Arizona; daughter Lee Ann Abshire of Idaho; sisters June Robertson and Dorene Graves of Washington and Alta Merill and Darlene Huffaker of Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, October 10 with interment at Genung Cemetery in Peeples Valley. Steven Clark Goad officiated.

Arrangements were handled by the Frey Funeral Home of Wickenburg.
