The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 25, 1992, p. 2 William F. Conroy of Wickenburg, a 14 year Arizona resident, died Friday, November 20, 1992 at Del Webb Hospital, Sun City, Arizona. He was 84. Born May 29, 1908 in Spokane, Washington, he married Barbara Tower in 1937. Mr. Conroy served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a retired railroad official of The Great Northern Railroad. He spent 20 years with the Anaconda Co. as President and General Manager of the B.A. & P. Railroad, Mr. Conroy is survived by his wife Barbara of Wickenburg, daughter and son-in-law Carol Ann and Karl Barnickol, two grandchildren: Karl and Laura Barnickol, and sister and Brother-in-law: Dorothy and Fred C. Long. Services have been held, with interment at the V.A. National Memorial Cemetery of Phoenix. Father Mathew Mampara officiated.
