George Robert Knirsch Sr., 60, manager of the shoe department at oldwater's Park Center Store since 1963, died Tuesday in Good Samaritan
Hospital. Mr. Krtirsch, 4801 E. Pinchot, was employed at Porter's
Store from 1958 to 1962. He was a member and former officer Of the Phoenix Lions Breakfast Club and a member of the vestry at St.
Stephens Episcopal Church. Born in Riverside, Ill., he came to Phoenix 11 years ago from La Grange, Ill.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Capt. George Knirsch, with the U.S. Air Force in Germany, and John H. of Phoenix; a daughter,
Mrs. Mary Farmer of Jacksonville, Ill.; two sisters out of state and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Sturday in the church, 2310 N. 56th St. Burial will be in Deer Valley Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in Messinger Mortuary, 515 E. Indian School, Scottsdale.
