The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 16, 1992, p. 2 J. Stanley Herr of Wickenburg died Wednesday, December 9, 1992 at his home. He was 85. Mr. Herr was born February 15, 1907 in Chester County, Pennsylvania and was a 25 year resident of Arizona. Mr. Herr graduated from Oxford High School in 1925. He belonged to the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Knights Templer of Coatsville, Pennsylvania; Wickenburg Elks Lodge, Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, Wickenburg Shrine Club, El Zaribah Temple of Phoenix, Wickenburg Sportsman Club, Desert Caballeros Western Museum, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Reading, PA, Oxford Lodge of Oxford, PA, Presidential Task force, and the Wickenburg Coffee Club. Mr. Herr was a commercial pilot from 1956 and in 1958 he became a flight instructor, he also trained pilots for the Air Force at Lincoln University. In 1958 Mr. Herr worked for Ripco, Inc. and they used several of his patents on his inventions. His inventions had to do with heavy equipment machinery for farms and road work. The Daffin Manufacturing Co. used his patents and built machines to go from farm to farm and pick up ingredients to grind. Mr. Herr is survived by his brother Lee Herr and niece Diane McMichaels of Oxford, PA. Services will be held at a later date at the Flying E Ranch, there will be no visitation. Arrangements were handled by Wickenburg Funeral Home of Wickenburg.
