The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 23, 1992, p. 2A Roy E. McRoberts of Wickenburg died Thursday, December 17, 1992 at Del Webb Hospital in Sun City. He was 71. Mr. McRoberts was born March 25, 1921 at Plattsburg, New York and had lived in Wickenburg for 14 years. He was a retired New York State paint supervisor. He was a past Master of The Masonic Lodge in Dover Plaines, New York and a member of the Wickenburg Elks Lodge. Mr. McRoberts, a friend to all, could best be remembered as Roger Fornoff’s right-hand man at the Gun Trader in Wickenburg. Roy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Leona of Wickenburg; son, Daniel of Tucson; sister, Jean Czechowitz of New York; brother, Aldheus of Phoenix; grand-daughters, Lorre Ulmer of Tucson and Heidi Dean of New York and 3 great-grandchildren. There will be no local services held and burial will be at his family plot in New York. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. McRoberts name to Cops Who Care, PO Box R-2, Wickenburg, AZ 85358 or they can be dropped off at The Gun Trader. Frey Funeral Home of Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
