The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 23, 1992, p. 2A Gerrit Vander Stoep, a resident of Wickenburg from 1982 to 1992 died Wednesday, December 16, 1992 in Tucson, Arizona. He was 89. Mr. Vander Stoep was born in Iowa in 1903, had lived for many years in Pittsfield, Illinois, before retiring at age 78 as District Sales Manager for the Edward J. Junk Seed Corn Co. and moving to Wickenburg. Mr. Vander Stoep was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene of Wickenburg, in June, 1992. He is survived by 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services have been held with burial in Salinas, California.
