The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 23, 1992, p. 2A Bessie M. May of the Wickenburg Nursing Home died Wednesday, December 16 in Wickenburg. She was 80. Mrs. May was born November 10, 1912 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and had lived in Wickenburg for 8 years, moving here from Texas. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed her friends at the nursing home where she had resided for the last 3 years and also honored as a resident volunteer. Mrs. May is survived by daughters, Betty Knippa of Texas and Charlene Haggard and fiancé Bill Steckman both of Wickenburg; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Private cremation services were held. Memorial contributions may be made to Charlene Haggard, PO Box 591, Wickenburg, Arizona 85358 to help assist with the funeral expenses. Frey Funeral Home of Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
