The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 23, 1992, p. 2A Elmer “Buck” Smith of Wickenburg died Wednesday, December 16 at Wickenburg Community Hospital. He was 80. He was born in Chaffee, Missouri and had lived in Arizona for 15 years having moved here from Santa Marie, California. Mr. Smith had worked for Diamonds Auto Supply, Santa Maria, California as a parts salesman for 19 years until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Florence of Wickenburg; son, Gordon of Birmingham, Alabama; daughters, Mary Lynn Stone of Wickenburg and Melissa Strongman of Walnut Creek, California; brothers, Harold of Pekin, Illinois, Dan of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and Walter of Scottsdale, Arizona; sisters, Hilda Potts of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Helen Roper of Ironton, Missouri, Mildred Thomaseen of Caruthesville, Missouri and Mary Parmenter of Osawatomie, Kansas; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services have been held. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Youth Program, 180 N. Adams, Wickenburg, Arizona 85358. Lundberg Golden Chapel of Youngtown, Arizona handled the arrangements.
