Orville F. Vigneron died on December 28 in Sun City West. He was 65.
Mr. Vigneron was born June 9, 1928 in Gowrie, Iowa, to Franklin and Alma Vigneron.
He had lived in Peeples Valley for seven years.
He retired from his job as a control room supervisor for the Iowa/Illinois Gas and Electric Company on 1985.
Mr. Vigneron was a veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 79, Yarnell. Mr. Vigneron loved to play golf and fish. His favorite fishing holes were in Northwest Iowa and Minnesota. Every now and then he would venture off to Canada for a fishing trip. He enjoyed working on his cars and was excellent at woodcrafting.
Survivors include loving friend Brenda Flattery and her daughter Amanda; son, Brian Vigneron of Fort Dodge, Iowa; daughters, Beverly Totten of Coalville, Iowa, and Linda Ballard of Dennison, Iowa; brother Francis Frost of DeWitt, Iowa; sister, Vivian Williams of DeWitt, Iowa; and grandchildren Anthony, Amy and Ann.
Graveside services have been held at the Genung Cemetery in Peeples Valley. Officiating was Jim Cunningham, with military honors by the officers and members of the American Legion Post 79.
Arrangements were made by Arizona Ruffner Waklin Funeral Home in Prescott.
