RIVERS, John (Jack)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 19, 1994, p. 3 John “Jack” Rivers of Wickenburg died January 11 in Sun City. He was 66. Mr. Rivers was born November 26, 1927 in Anaconda, Montana and had lived in Arizona for three years. He was a garage foreman for Montana Power Company for 24 years and was also a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Rivers was a member of the Wickenburg American Legion No. 12 and the Teamsters Union No. 2 in Butte, Montana. After his retirement, he and his wife, Viola began spending their winters in Wickenburg. Mr. Rivers is survived by his wife of 32 years, Viola; brothers, Jim Rivers of Anaconda, Montana, Francis Rivers of Chicago, Illinois, Luke Rivers of Anaconda, Montana and Paul Rivers of San Jose, California and sister, Mary Smith of Helena, Montana. Private services will be held. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wickenburg Unit, P.O. Box 1975, Wickenburg, AZ 85358 Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
