Lillian Juanita Christian DeLeon of Bagdad died January 27 in Prescott. She was 77.
Mr. DeLeon was born March 6, 1916 in Crocket, Texas.
She sewed for years, making her daughters dresses, especially their party dresses, for which she would enjoy embroidering the collars and cuffs. She was an amateur photographer, exchanging her works with other photographers around the area.
Mrs. DeLeon was a conversationist who loved to talk about her experiences as a young woman, riding on Harley Davidson motorcycles.
She also had a green thumb. Her neighbors and friends would bring her their sick plants, which she would properly restore.
Mrs. DeLeon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Robbie Ted DeLeon and Ivon Alfred Willard of Bagdad and daughter Barbara Lee Monzingo Farrar of Riverside, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law Beth Baily of Willis,Texas, Jean Rein and Harold “Buck” of Sargent,Texas and Ruby Florie and William Gaddis of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Zeb, Heather, Vickie, Andrea and Cheryl; and great-grandchildren Nolan, Miles, Brittney and Holden.
Memorial Services will be held at the Chapel on the grounds of the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Arrangements were made by the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott.
