GAUNT, Faye

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 2, 1994, p. 2 Faye Billingsley Gaunt, a former teacher in Wickenburg, died February 20 in Sun City. She was 80. Mrs. Gaunt, who taught school in Wickenburg until 1946, was born in 1913 in Prescott. She had attended Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. Mrs. Gaunt and her husband Nick, who was the first manager of Valley National Bank in Wickenburg, eventually moved to Phoenix, where she taught in the Madison School District until her retirement. Mrs. Gaunt was a member of the Eastern Star Hassayampa Chapter 35 and was vice president and a charter member of Las Damas. She lived at the Royal Oaks Life Care Center in Sun City since 1985. Mrs. Gaunt is survived by her sisters Genevieve Shelton of Sun City and Virginia Warner of Wickenburg and her brother Bud Billingsley of Sun City.
