Mr. Nelson was born May 31, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri and had lived in Arizona for 10 months moving here from Missouri. He was a hairstylist and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Nelson is survived by his brother Scott Nelson of Oklahoma; sisters Roberta Moore of Fallbrook, California and Leann Boring of Kansas City, Missouri; and close friends Rick Hart of Yarnell, Mark Moore of Tempe, Marla Edwards of Washington and Clark Rowley. Services will be held in Kansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 2601 E. Thomas Road, Suite 100, Phoenix, AZ 85016. Frey Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
