The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 4, 1994, p. 2 Marjorie Waters Schafer of Circle City and a former Wickenburg resident, died April 29 at the Wickenburg Community hospital. She was 81. Mrs. Schafer was born June 28, 1912 in San Dimas, California and had lived in Arizona for 21 years. She was living with her husband and young daughter in Hawaii, near Pearl Harbor when it was bombed on December 7, 1941. Mrs. Schafter and her husband moved to Wickenburg from California in 1973. She lived here until six months ago, when she moved to the Circle City Supervisory Home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. Mrs. Schafer is survived by her daughter Mary Berreth of Coer d’Alene, Idaho; brother Clyde Waters of Stockton, California; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a niece. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1979. Services have been held and interment was at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Pastor James Longstreet officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 111, Wickenburg, AZ 85358. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
