Lois Farmer Carver of Sun City, California died February 7 in Sun City. She was 74.
Mrs. Carver was born December 11, 1919 in Chandler, Arizona to Benjamin and Carolina of Wickenburg. Her father was a pioneer cotton farmer, and her mother was the first school teacher in Quartzite.
She graduated from Chandler High School in 1937 and later married Harold Carver from Mesa, Colorado.
Mrs. Carver spent most of her adult years in California and was employed as a business accountant. She was an active bridge player and was a director of bridge in Sun City.
Mrs. Carver is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Merle and Barbara Carver of Prescott, Arizona; and Dennis and Terry Carver of Los Osos, California; grandson Dylan Carver, also of Los Osos, and brother Herbert Farmer of Anchorage, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973 and her parents.
Private services have been held. Internment was at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
A memorial remembrance and bridge party was held for Mrs. Carver by the members of the Sun City and Hemet Bridge Club in Sun City.
Frey Funeral Home of Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
