Percy Rogers Sr. of Wickenburg died June 12 in Wickenburg. He was 66.
Mr. Rogers was born May 18, 1928 in Geary, Oklahoma and had lived in Wickenburg for seven months, moving here from Washington.
He and his family traveled throughout the United Stated picking fruit. His family is in the process of opening the Jolly Rogers Fish and Chips Restaurant in Wickenburg.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen; sons Thomas, Percy Jr., Allen, Cecil and Jeffrey; brothers Alva of Welton, Arizona and Marvin of Clifton, Colorado; sisters Veta Parker of Ripon, California and Reeda Chambers of River Bank, California; and 13 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday (June 16) at 9 a.m. at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Pastor Duane Middleton will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Frey funeral Home in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
