HAYDON, George Richard, Sr.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 22, 1994, p. 2 George Richard Haydon Sr. of Prairie Village, Kansas and Wickenburg died June 13 at his home in Kansas. He was 83. Mr. Haydon was a former president of Union Construction Co. in Kansas City. He retired 12 years ago. He was past president of the Heavy Constructors Association of Greater Kansas City. Mr. Haydon received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Missouri. He was a member of the Village Presbyterian Church in Kansas City. Mr. Haydon is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sally of Prairie Village; daughter and son-in-law Lyn and Bill Green of Wickenburg; daughters Sue Arnold and Sally Scott, both of Kansas City; son George Richard Haydon Jr. of Kansas City; sister, Eugenia Haydon of Kansas City; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Private memorial services were held June 15 in Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the College of the Ozarks, Pint Lookout, Missouri 65726.
