HAZLEHURST, Ethel Bertha

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 29, 1994, p. 2 Ethel Bertha Hazlehurst of Yarnell died June 19 in Yarnell. She was 84. Mrs. Hazlehurst was born November 29, 1909 in Canada and had lived in Arizona for 48 years. She was a member of Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion Post 79 in Yarnell. Mrs. Hazlehurst moved to the United Stated from Canada in 1924, living first in Massachusetts. In 1946, she moved to Arizona. When she was younger, she would baby-sit for the former president John F. Kennedy. Mrs. Hazlehurst is survived by son James M. Hazlehurst; daughters Elizabeth Schnepp of Wilhoit, Arizona; and Shirley Parsons of Redford, Michigan; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Services have been held and interment was at the Genung Memorial park. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
