Clarence G. "Stoney" Stone, age 84, a 25-year resident of Willow Valley, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011, in Fort Mohave, Ariz.
Clarence was born in Fort Worth, Texas on March 14, 1926. He attended Luezinger High School in Calif.
In October 1986, after retiring from NAA Rockwell, he moved to Willow Valley and worked at KRHS 1000 for 5 years as a DJ for Big Band Music.
Clarence was involved in Mason's beginning in high school with DeMolay. He was Master of Mohave Valley #68 in 1992, and currently Secretary of Laughlin Lodge #56 and Treasurer for the York Rite Bodies. He was instrumental in setting up the Colorado River Festival for the York Rite for 20 years. His honors include KCCH in Scottish Rite and a KYCH in York Rite, and he received the Cross of Honor in 1997 and the Order of the Purple Cross.
Amazing Grace Fellowship Church was deeply important to him.
Clarence was married to his sweetheart, Helen, for 63 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, 2730 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City. Pastor Josiah Drawhorn will officiate and Masonic service will be held.
A refreshment and repose will follow the service and will be held at the Mohave Shrine Club, 2580 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City. He requested his body be given to Science Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to the Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in his memory.
