Richard Kenneth Cooke, 76, of Wickenburg died July 9 at Del Webb Memorial Hospital in Sun City West.
Mr. Cooke was born February 27, 1918 in Red Cliff, Colorado. He had lived in Arizona for 65 years, moving to Wickenburg from Colorado with his family in 1929.
Mr. Cooke was a graduate of Wickenburg High School. He worked in the Avarado Mine and at the Glider Academy in Forepaugh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, serving from 1944-46.
He was a mason by trade, specializing in fire places. He retired from that profession in 1980.
Mr. Cooke is survived by his wife of 54 years, Clara, of Wickenburg; a niece, Patty Doom of Wickenburg, and two nephews, Larry Cooke and Andy Doom, both of Wickenburg; and eight other nieces and nephews who live across the U.S. He also is survived by numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Graveside services were July 12 at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Pastor Jim Longstreet officiated.
Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
