The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 13, 1994, p. 2 Louis Gillmore, 94, of Peeples Valley died July 7 in Wickenburg. Mr. Gillmore was born February 13, 1900 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a longtime resident of the Yarnell area and had recently moved to Wickenburg. He had lived in Arizona for 82 years. Mr. Gillmore was the proud owner of three restaurants in the Phoenix valley area, including Gil’s Patio Royal in Scottsdale. He had a love of vintage automobiles. Survivors include his son, Robert Gillmore of Sierra Madre, California; a daughter, Donna Worthern of Glendale; and close friends Gene and Valeria Strawn of Peeples Valley. Burial was July 12 at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix, following Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg. Father Mathew Mampara officiated. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Gillmore’s name to the Danny Thomas Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
