The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 10, 1994, p. 2 Maynard W. Ludwig of Wickenburg died August 6 in Wickenburg. He was 81. Mr. Ludwig was born April 17, 1913 in Trenton, Michigan and had lived in Arizona for 37 years moving here from Michigan. He was a small businessman, owning various businesses in the Detroit area, as well as Aguila and Wickenburg. He was a 20 years-plus member of the Wickenburg Lions Club, serving as treasurer and secretary. He was also a 40 years-plus Mason and was a member of the Wickenburg Masonic Lodge Hassayampa 37. Mr. Ludwig was the leader of the Wickenburg Junior Achievement Organization for two years. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Ludwig is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elsie of Wickenburg; daughters Gayle Buzan of Phoenix and Carolyn Ludwig of Royal Oak, Michigan; grandchildren Anthony Renko of Dearborn, Michigan, Linda Barton of Detroit and Melissa Carlson of Phoenix; and great-grandchildren Brian Barton of Redford, Michigan and Jordan Stow of Phoenix. Services will be held Thursday (August 11) at 10 a.m. at Frey Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Wessling will officiate.
