HEDRICK, Julian B.


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 24, 1994, p. 2 Julian B. Hedrick, 94, of Wickenburg died August 17 in Peoria. Mr. Hedrick was born November 4, 1899 in Ansted, West Virginia. He had lived in Arizona for the past 20 years, moving here from Missouri. Mr. Hedrick was retired from the Kansas City Star, where he had worked as a newspaper distributor. He was a World War I field artillery veteran and serviced in Batter “D” under former President Harry S. Truman. Mr. Hedrick was a member of the East Gate Masonic Lodge No. 630 of Kansas City, Missouri and a Shriner. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Hedrick of Erie, Pennsylvania; brothers Stanford Hedrick of Phoenix and Lyle Hedrick of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Laura, of California; granddaughters Cynthia Norman of Palmdale, California and Nancy Van Istendal of Medford, New Jersey; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Trilba in September 1993. Graveside services were conducted August 20 with interment in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Pastor James Longstreet officiated. Special services were conducted by the Masonic Lodge Hassayampa No. 37 Funeral Committee. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Hedrick’s name to the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg, 180 N. Adams St., Wickenburg, AZ 85390. All arrangements were handled by the Frey Funeral Home.
