The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 31, 1994, p. 2 Myrtie “Peg” Clark, 81, of Congress died August 25 in Sun City West. Mrs. Clark was born June 17, 1913 in Wolcott, New York. She had lived in Arizona for the past 23 years, moving here from New York. Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late Anna Schlaefer and William Hanlon. She was married 47 years to the late John L. Clark, who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a graduate of Wolcott (NY) High School and Syracuse Business Institute. For many years, she and her late husband operated a dairy farm in Jordan, New York. The couple then operated a retail hay business throughout the East Coast from their home in Hannibal, New York. Prior to their move to Arizona, Mr. and Mrs. Clark were involved in the mutual fund business. Survivors include two sons, Alan of Wickenburg and Roger of Hannibal, New York; a sister, Lillian Hill of Skaneateles, New York; seven grandchildren, Kim Waldron of Fair Haven, New York, Brian Clark of Sterling, New York, Terry Clark of Fulton, New York, Craig Clark of Fulton, New York, Shane Clark of Show Low, Dane Clark of Tucson, and Adman Clark of Wickenburg; eight great-grandchildren; and a niece. Services were Sunday, August 28 at the Frey Funeral Home, with burial in the Congress Cemetery. Matthew Marino officiated. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Clark’s name to Soroptimist International of Wickenburg, P. O. Box 676, Wickenburg, AZ 85358. All contributions will go for local elderly health care. The Frey Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
