The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 14, 1994, p. 2 Emmett E. “Sandy” Sanders of Wickenburg died September 9 in Wickenburg. He was 89. Mr. Sanders was born September 6, 1905 in Osage, Oklahoma and had lived in Arizona for 45 years. He owned and operated several laundries, one of which was the Circle S in Wickenburg. He built several in South America also. Mr. Sanders was a member of the Wickenburg Saddle Club and the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce, where he was very active in past years. Mr. Sanders is survived by sons and daughters- in-law; M.E. and Mary Frances Sanders of Lake Jackson, Texas and Robert G. and Elaine Sanders of Wickenburg; sisters Monta Burt of Lawton, Oklahoma and Marie Hawthorne of Cache, Oklahoma; brother Obie L. Sanders of Lawton, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Private family services have been held. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
