The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 21, 1994, p. 2 Lyman R. Doane of Wickenburg, died September 14 in Wickenburg. He was 80. Mr. Doane was born September 14, 1914 in Ironton, Ohio and had lived in Arizona for the past five years, moving here from Ohio. He was a foreman for Republic Steel Co. in Warren, Ohio and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Doane worked as a volunteer at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum and was a member of Wickenburg Elks Lodge BPOE 2160. He also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Harriett, of Wickenburg; daughters Arvilla Rothermel of Circle City and Susan Ference of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania; son Donald R. of Franklin, Tennessee; sister Marian Lloyd of Ohio; brother Charles Doane of Ohio; grandchildren Patricia Dennis of Circle City, Angela Doane of Tennessee, Michelle Doane of Ohio, Ryan and Steven Ference both of Pennsylvania and great-grandchild Janesta Dennis of Circle City. Services were Saturday, September 17 at Frey Funeral Home of Wickenburg. Pastor James Longstreet officiated. Graveside committal and services will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren, Ohio at a later date. Memorial contributions in Mr. Doane’s name may be made to the Wickenburg Regional Health Care Foundation, Nursing Home Expansion Project, P. O. Box 1388, Wickenburg, 85358 or the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg, 180 N. Adams St., Wickenburg, 85358. Frey Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
