LOUISA CRAVEY, PIONEER HERE, DIES AT HOME. Mrs. Louisa E. Cravey 85, died at 4:23 a.m. Tuesday at her home, 919 Sixteenth street, after a three-week illness. A pioneer of Arizona and of Douglas, she came in 1905 to this city after having resided two decades in Phoenix and Prescott. Born Nov. 1, 1861, in Jack county, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. John McMahan, decedent is survived by three daughters and a son: Mrs. Anna Carruth of 919 Sixteenth street and Mrs. Irene Prescott, both of Douglas. Mrs. Sue Jones of Long Beach, Calif.; and Dan C. Cravey of Double Adobe. a sister, Mrs. R. L. Collins of Douglas, 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. Here during her final illness were Mrs. John Cravey of Long Beach, Calif., widow of another son of Mrs. Cravey, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Edna Lunsway of Bellflower, Calif., and Mrs. Elsie Thayer of Long Beach, Calif. Charles S. Cravey, who decedent married May 23, 1882, in Texas, died 20 years ago. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Christian church with the Rev. William C. Bailey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery. Douglas Daily Dispatch January 15, 1947
