BLANKENSHIP, Andrea Mae (Andy)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, November 23, 2005 Andrea Mae Blankenship, born June 15, 1948, in Catonsville, Md., died unexpectedly at her home in Cabazon, Calif., Sept. 11, 2005. Andrea (Andy) was one of the seven children who moved to Arizona in 1953 along with her family. Andy attended elementary school in Prescott and junior high in Chino Valley and was a graduate of Prescott High School in 1967. Andy's career was with the Beaumont Police Department where she started in 1977 as public safety dispatcher, station officer, support service manager and records supervisor. Andy spent 28 years with Beaumont P.D. Andrea is survived by her two sons, USMC Gunnery Sergeant Robert Keith Blankenship, his wife, Kari, and their two daughters, Abby Jewell and Annie; her youngest son, Marcus Gabe Blankenship, also residing in Cabazon; brothers, Kenneth and Phyllis, Daniel and Sandy; sisters, Pamela Edwardson, Shirley Blume and Brad and Debbie and Mike. Andy adored her many nieces and nephews, too many to mention. Andy was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Jewell Blankenship and her younger brother, Bobby. Andy was a loving Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. We all will miss her. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Chino Valley Cemetery, Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at 11 a.m., where she will be put to rest.
