Mollyrene Bingaman Turner died peacefully, surrounded by her daughter, Linda, and grandsons Casey, Cody and Alex, on Dec. 31, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was 89.
Molly was born April 14, 1921, to Irene and Howard Bingaman on April 14, 1921, in Seattle. She was proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. After the war, she was employed by Seattle First National Bank, where she met her husband of over 40 years, Lester Turner Jr.
In 1957, they moved to Alaska, where they raised two daughters, Linda and Nancy. When they retired in 1979, they moved back to Seattle and traveled to and from their beloved Maui, Hawaii.
Throughout her life, she was a homemaker, mother and friend. She was involved with the March of Dimes, the Girls Scouts of America, SPCA and various other charities throughout the years.
Molly is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Turner-Hering; her grandsons, Casey, Cody and Alex Whittaker; her granddaughter-in-law, BethAnn; her great-grandchildren, Joshua and Lucy; daughter, Nancy Turner; as well as her many friends in Alaska, Seattle and Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Lester Turner Jr.; and her parents, Irene and Howard Bingaman.
