The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 5, 1994, p. 2 Kenneth R. McBride of Rawlins, Wyoming and a winter resident of Wickenburg died September 2 in Rawlins. He was 78. Mr. McBride was born February 1, 1916 in Sterling, Colorado, the son of Fred and Myrtle (Filer) McBride. He was raised and educated in Sterling, graduating from Sterling High School. Mr. McBride married Dorothy Williams on June 19, 1938 in Encampment, Wyoming. Mr. McBride worked in a shipyard during World War II in Long Beach, California and the couple later moved to Rawlins, where he was a truck driver for Neuman Transit until his retirement. He was a member of the Lions Club, AF&AM Lodge No. 5, and First United Methodist Church. He also attended First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg. Mr. McBride spent his winters in Wickenburg and returned to Rawlins during the summer months. Survivors include his daughter Ruth E. Weller and her husband Paul of Springfield, Oregon; daughter-in-law Judy McBride of Laramie; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters Dolly Onigkeit of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, Virginia Wolfe of Clinton, Missouri and Charlene Prince of Phoenix; brothers John McBride of Sterling and Arthur L. McBride of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two brothers-in-law and their families and five sisters-in-law and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 1984; son Raymond McBride; sister, Mary Montgomery; and brothers Frank, Harold, Lloyd and Rollin McBride. Memorial services were held at the First United Methodist Church of Rawlins.
