GIBBS, Sandra Lee

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, February 27, 2011 Sandra Lee Gibbs was born June 17, 1950 in Watseka, Ill.. She went home to be with the Lord Feb. 7. Sandi grew up on a farm in Iroquois County, Ill. The family farmed and milked registered Guernsey cows. She was the middle child, and she was her sister’s little shadow and pest! They moved to Iowa in the late 1960s where she graduated high school in Lenox, Iowa. Very active in school activities, she had lots of friends. After high school, she attended college in Lincoln, Neb. She moved with her family to Wickenburg in 1987. She is survived by her husband Don Gibbs; her sons Jacob Walter (Phoebe Conklin), Rick Walter (Anna), and Cole Walter (Sharde Osorio), all of Wickenburg; her sister Linda Bauer of Lenox, Iowa; and her brother Rick Kuipers of Rifle, Colo.; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sandi was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Kathryn Kuipers. A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. at the Coffinger Park ramada Saturday (Feb. 26).
