Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, February 23, 2011 Edosilda Ballesteros, age 90 of Superior, Ariz. passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Banner Baywood Heart Hospital in Mesa. She was born in Douglas, Ariz. on March 13, 1920, the daughter of Florentino and Socorro (Vargas) Mendez. She enjoyed sewing and made beautiful quilts for her family. She also liked spending time outdoors gardening and loved to cook for her family. She is preceded in death by her son, Arturo Ballesteros. Edosilda is survived by her sons, Bill (Judy) Ballesteros and Francisco (Sally) Ballesteros; her daughters, Erma Ballesteros and Alice (Mac) Cruz; her sisters, Graciela Salazar, Irma Yañez, and Hilda Yañez; her brothers, Leonardo Yañez, Rodolpho Yañez, Ernesto Yañez and Aarmando Yañez; 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation was on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at 6 p.m. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Miami, Ariz. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery in Globe, Ariz. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
