Dusan “Dan” M. Radanovich, age 96 of Miami, Ariz. passed away on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at his residence in Miami, Ariz. He was born in Visnjeva, Yugoslavia on Saturday, Nov. 7, 1914, the son of Milo and Stane Radanovich.
Dan came to the United States in 1940. He lived in New York City for a while and moved to Arizona in 1954. He worked for the mines in San Manuel and Miami Copper in Miami, Ariz. He also worked for a gas station for Mitch Vuksanovich in Globe. He liked to keep busy, enjoyed going hunting, was a member of Pinal Mountain Elks since 1962 and a big Yankee fan until recently. He retired from ADOT as a maintenance worker.
Dan is survived by his wife, Violet Radanovich of Miami; his daughter, Diana (Larry) Levy; his son, Robert Radanovich; his nephew, Mike (Milovan) Radanovich; his three grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be at Pinal Cemetery in the Serbian Section.
