Thomas "Tommy T" Tennyson, 49, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, in Flagstaff, with family and close friends at his side.
Mr. Tennyson was born Aug. 11, 1961, in Yuma, and he moved to Flagstaff in 1980 to attend NAU. Like many of us, he fell in love with Flagstaff life and made it home. He loved camping, hiking, firearms, boating and motorcycle trips. He founded Flag Hot Bikes in 1997, where he pursued his passion and supported many biker causes and events.
He was a true gentleman. A U.S. Marine Corps reservist, he was a Big Brother and also a member of the board. He also was active in Flagstaff 12-step work and many nonprofit organizations. His integrity, smile, laugh and sense of humor will be missed.
Mr. Tennyson is survived by brother Eric of Sacramento, Calif.; and aunts and cousins in Tucson as well as close friends everywhere.
A memorial celebration of his life will be Saturday, March 12, at 2 p.m., at the Elks Club, 2101 N. San Francisco St., in Flagstaff. In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that donations be made to Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Flagstaff.
