Lorenzo M. Campbell, 66, of El Centro, Calif., formerly of Flagstaff, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, in El Centro.

Mr. Campbell was born in Montebello, Calif. He was a managing attorney for California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc., El Centro Office and worked for DNA-People's Legal Services Inc., Flagstaff and Window Rock offices. His love was with legal services for the low-income communities in Window Rock, Taos, Santa Fe, Flagstaff, Yavapai/Apache Tribal Courts and Navajo Nation Tribal Courts.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Sue Jeffreys Campbell, of El Centro; daughter Jenny Tash Jeffrey of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; sons Emiliano Campobello of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Jason Jeffreys of El Centro; brother John Castillo of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Hems Mortuary, 1975 S. Fourth St., in El Centro.
