Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published Wednesday, March 2, 2011 - Bette Joan Wahlstrom, 77, passed away Feb. 27, 2011, in Lake Havasu City. She was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Sacramento, Calif., to Finley and Ida King. Bette graduated from McClatchy High School in Sacramento. She married her husband, Charles A. Wahlstrom, in Virginia City, Nev., Oct. 6, 1979. Bette worked for Prudential in Sacramento, Real Estate in Reno, Nev., as well as an electronics buyer in Reno. She enjoyed painting, sewing, flying, working puzzles as well as writing, including having one short story published. Bette would love watching the wildlife in Havasu while spending time in her yard at home. She will be deeply missed. Private Interment will take place at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
