Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, Arizona - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from March 1 to March 8, 2011 - Mike Wicker, age 54, an 8-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., died Friday, February 18, 2011, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Mike, a mechanical engineer and a crew member of the News West production team, was born June 20, 1956, in Whittier, Calif. As a child, he participated in 1/4 midget racing, and later enjoyed camping and he loved to ride motorcycles. Mike was very mechanical, could fix anything, and was always ready to help anyone. He was funny, sometimes goofy but a great guy to be around! His greatest joy was the pride he felt for his kids and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally, father, Earl, and brother, Rick. Mike is survived by two daughters, Jaime Hafliger (who is expecting Mike's first grandson), and Kristin Mejia both of Victorville, Calif.; son, Kenny Wicker of Victorville, Calif.; granddaughter, Lexi Mejia of Victorville, Calif.; sister, Janet Reed of Bullhead City; and two brothers, Robert Wicker of Thornton, Colo., and Doug Wicker of Chino, Calif. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Dimond and Sons Silver Bell Chapel, 2620 Silver Creek Rd., Bullhead City, Arizona.
