MULLER, Hannah Patricia (Pattie)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, March 02, 2011 Hannah Patricia Muller, also known as Pattie and/or Pattie Ryan, born Nov. 17, 1929, in New York City, N.Y., passed away Feb. 26, 2011. Pattie was a vocalist with many big bands in the 1950s: Sunny Dunham, Vincent Lopez, Woody Herman and many others. Pattie married trombonist Don Muller on June 30, 1955. They moved in 1956 to Phoenix, Ariz., where Pattie continued her singing career, performing with big bands and doing singing commercials on the radio. She also played the drums and had her own all-girl country-western band. The Mullers retired and moved to Groom Creek (Prescott), Ariz., where Pattie continued to perform as the featured vocalist with Clare Wiley at the Pinecone Inn, as well as making many performances at the Prescott town square and area casinos. Pattie was very active doing volunteer work with the wives of the fire department both in Phoenix as well as in Prescott. Although born and baptized Catholic, she converted to Lutheran. She enjoyed being active in the church and volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, prayer leader and choir singer. She was a warm, wonderful, caring person, a true friend to all - animals and people alike. She is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Donald; her two children, Kelsey and Collin; her many grandchildren; and her three cats, all of whom will miss her greatly.
