Hannah Patricia Muller, also known as Pattie and/or Pattie Ryan, born
Nov. 17, 1929, in New York City, N.Y., passed away Feb. 26, 2011.
Pattie was a vocalist with many big bands in the 1950s: Sunny Dunham,
Vincent Lopez, Woody Herman and many others. Pattie married
trombonist Don Muller on June 30, 1955. They moved in 1956 to
Phoenix, Ariz., where Pattie continued her singing career, performing
with big bands and doing singing commercials on the radio. She also
played the drums and had her own all-girl country-western band.
The Mullers retired and moved to Groom Creek (Prescott), Ariz., where
Pattie continued to perform as the featured vocalist with Clare Wiley
at the Pinecone Inn, as well as making many performances at the
Prescott town square and area casinos. Pattie was very active doing
volunteer work with the wives of the fire department both in Phoenix
as well as in Prescott.
Although born and baptized Catholic, she converted to Lutheran. She
enjoyed being active in the church and volunteered as a Sunday school
teacher, prayer leader and choir singer. She was a warm, wonderful,
caring person, a true friend to all - animals and people alike.
She is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Donald; her two
children, Kelsey and Collin; her many grandchildren; and her three
cats, all of whom will miss her greatly.
