The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, November 06, 2008 Verna May Slagle, 95, of Chino Valley, Ariz., born June 14, 1913, in Prescott, Ariz., passed away Nov. 2, 2008, at her home in Chino Valley, Ariz. No services are scheduled at this time. Private cremation will take place. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. ----------------------------------------- Verna May Slagle 6/14/1913 - 11/2/2008 The Angels came and led Verna May Slagle to heaven on November 2, 2008 from her home in Chino Valley, Arizona. The daughter of Lavern Crabb & Nora May Bowan, born on June 16, 1915 in Prescott, Arizona. She was born, raised, lived, married, had children, held many careers and especially loved her family and her dog. The last career that she had that she enjoyed was as an Air Research Technician for Aerospace. Her loving daughter Bonnie cared for her in her last days and her son Kenneth's love was held close to her heart. She will be greatly missed. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona.
