Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published Saturday, March 5, 2011 - It is with great sadness that the family of Cora Lee Pim announces her passing on March 2, 2011 at the age of 83 after a brief illness. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Jeannetta Lanning and Judy (Jim) Bodine; son James (Carol) Cope; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Velma Sutton and good friend Al Gibson. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011, 11:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel in Lake Havasu City. Rev. Carol Sheffield will offer words of comfort and inspiration. A celebration of life will follow at the American Legion from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Riverside, Calif. where she resided and raised her family most of her adult life. She has lived in Lake Havasu City for 25 years. The family requests that contributions be made to the American Legion in lieu of flowers. Her smiling face will be dearly missed at the American Legion and VFW.
