Honoring the life of Kimberly Maria Johnson who passed from this life, Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at the Mountain Vista Hospital in Apache Junction.
Kimberly was born April 24, 1969, to Sandra and Samuel Johnson Jr. in Whiteriver. She was 41 years old. She graduated with honors at Alchesay High School in May of 1988. She then attended Northern Pioneer College off and on from 1988 to 1993. She had set a goal towards the medical records profession and skills of computer entry data. She worked with the U.S. Census as an enumerator. Her hobbies were playing the piano, singing, listening to music of all variations (Reggae music was her favorite). She enjoyed cosmetics and hair styling, sculpting, nails and cooking (she made the best Apache tortillas).
She grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho but resided in McNary for many years and returned to Cibecue her home town. She had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica and various cities.
Kimberly is survived by her only son, Jathain Chadlin Henry; grandson, Carlos Johnson; mother Sandra P. Altaha; sister Samantha Johnson; brothers: Alias Johnson, Donovan Johnson, Shawn Cooya; grandmother Pastor Eunice Tessler; nieces: Alyssa Johnson, Kandle Diamond Johnson, Terilynn Sedillo; great niece Kenaya Lawson; nephews: Dominique Lawson, Duwon Hardrick, Sergio Johnson, Nashawn Cooya, JaQwon Lupe, Ethan Lupe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Johnson Jr.
A wake will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 3, at the family residence on North River Road in Cibecue. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Cibecue Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at the Shadow Mountain Cemetery in Cibecue.
